Sue Cosentini:
A graduate of Cornell University with a Masters degree in Education is the visionary founder of New Earth Living, an urban eco-village housing concept (www.newearthliving.net). While the complex physical issues of living sustainably are rapidly expanding, the social environment — interdependency and living in community — crucial components of sustainability, remain unexamined and undeveloped. It is in pursuit of this inquiry that Susan teamed up with Ed Lisbe to develop the Conscious Communication workshop. Extensively trained in leadership and life coaching skills, Susan has run her own business, Cosentini Construction for over 25 years, is a regular speaker at industry conferences, and has led numerous small group seminars on personal growth and development.
Ed Lisbe:
For over 30 years, Ed has been leading “people skills” seminars in listening, conflict management, team facilitation, and coaching for managers of Fortune 500 companies. His clients include Pfizer Pharmeceuticals, Citicorp, Eastman Kodak, United Health Group; as well as schools, churches, hospitals, municipalities, and families. In every context, he has witnessed peoples’ anguish, hostility, and needless emotional separation from others — trauma caused by pervasive resistance to listening. This awareness has given Ed a unique reverence for the difficulty (and the rewards when done well) of our most basic, every day human encounter: conversation.
